The Swiss ILD Cohort is supported by a combination of different funding sources, as well as national and international research collaborations.
Industry funding
Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) and Boehringer Ingelheim

Governance and indipendence
The Swiss Society of Pulmonology (SSP) acts as a steering and oversight body for the cohort. Scientific independence and data governance are ensured through centralized oversight by the Steering Committee, the Sponsor, and the Scientific Advisory Board, in accordance with applicable ethical and regulatory standards.

Ongoing research studies
PRISM-FILD: Precision Medicine through Redefinition of Diagnosis and Management using Integrated Systems and Multilevel Data in fibrosing interstitial lung diseases (fILD)
This project aims to close a critical gap in the management of fILDs by developing and validating an AI-driven, multimodal system capable of redefining fILDs based on distinct inflammation and fibrosis endotypes. By integrating advanced imaging, detailed clinical data, and high-dimensional proteomics from international longitudinal cohorts, we will apply cutting-edge AI methodologies to enable earlier, more accurate diagnoses and personalized prognostication.
